NYE EDIT
Christmas has come and gone which means that 2016 is getting ready to follow in it's footsteps. If you ask me, new years are far better gift givers than Santa Clause could ever be. A new year brings things far more valuable than any material good. They bring us new beginnings, adventures, experiences, and so much more. I absolutely love the beginning of a new year and while I'm sad to see 2016 go, I'm ecstatic for what 2017 will bring.
Sentiments aside, I think that one of my absolute favorite part of ringing in the new year is the parties. Granted that probably comes from the cliché NYE parties that you see in movies, but still. You can't tell me that getting to go out dressed to the 9's to ring in the new year with loved ones doesn't sound like an amazing time. But since I don't have any special parties to go to this year (or ever), I decided to put together a few inspirational outfits that would be definite contenders if I were to venture out this New Year's Eve.

Untitled #593
Style: Classy/Grunge
Key pieces: velvet, leather, and pearls.

Untitled #594
Style: Elegant
Key pieces: lace, leather, and faux fur.

Untitled #595
Style: Classic/Quirky
Key pieces: silk, faux fur, and red lips.

Untitled #596
Style: Edgy/Cool Girl
Key pieces: velvet, leather, ankle boots.

Untitled #597
Style: Trendy
Key pieces: all white everything.

One day I'll be the one standing in a fancy dress, wrapped in pearls, holding a glass of champagne waiting for my steamy New Year's Eve kiss. Well, that's the dream at least. Until then it'll just be me hanging out with my best friends, drinking cheap liquor from whoever or wherever we can get it from (until we turn 21) in my basement. But hey, at least I have something to work for. Until next time.

All the love.

Life's hectic and my makeup bag has hit an all time low. What with graduating and getting ready for college in the fall (read: dorm shopping and trips to Indy for orientation), I've been neglecting my makeup collection and have let many of the products in my collection run dangerously low. But with things dying down I plan on re-stocking very soon, and what better time to check out some new products than when I actually need them. Some of these products I've tested and loved, and others are completely new to me and I can't wait to get my hand on them! Click the links below to check out the beauty products I'm currently coveting.

1. BECCA Backlight Priming Filter ($38)
2. Acure Organics Brightening Facial Scrub ($10)
3. NARS Sheer Glow Foundation ($45)
4. Glossier Boy Brow ($16)
5. Alima Pure Pressed Foundation with Rosehip Antioxidant Complex ($34)
6. Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask ($26)

Hey babes! Today I have something that I've never done on here before but hope to do a lot more of, that's right I'm talking about DIYs. Lately I've been watching a variety of YouTube videos that have me itching to redecorate my room. This posed a problem at first considering I'm a broke high school student, then I remembered that I am an able bodied person that loves to get crafty. And that my friends, is exactly what I've been doing and what I'll be showing you how to do. And for my first DIY post we will be making mock terrariums. So enough with introduction, its time to get crafty!

For this DIY project you'll need:
 Faux succulent plant
 A container of your choice
 Sand
 Rocks/pebbles

This project is actually pretty self explanatory, but I'll still give you guys the rundown for any of you that don't know how to make a terrarium. To start off, you'll need to acquire all the materials above and any other decorations or adornments you may want in your terrarium. I found all of my supplies at the dollar store aside from the succulents in the first and third pictures. Once you've got all your supplies you put the sand in the container you chose, followed by your succulent, and finish with the rocks/decorations of your choice. Literally it's that easy! You now have a cute little terrarium that doesn't require any care, which is great if you're like me and have no trace of a green thumb.

If you do decide to give this a go then make sure to send me pictures via Tumblr, Instagram, and Twitter or drop a comment down below to let me know how they turned out. Until next time.

All the love.

Ah, Monday. How thou art a mystifying day. I've spent the past 3 years confident that Mondays were the absolute worst. Convincing myself that I hated the dreaded beginning of the week and that I always had the worst days ever. It's only recently (after a few-self realizing moments) that I realized how much I actually enjoy them. Any day brings the possibility of hardships, but you don't just have a rough day solely because it's Monday. The day is only as good as you make it.

I decided to start off my week with some fall vibes. Those of you that have been following me for a while know that color is a bit out of my normal realm of dress, as I typically stick to neutral colors. That id why I absolutely love this cardigan I picked up last week. The mustard color is very autumn-y but is relatively neutral. I paired it with a trusty striped shirt and my new favorite pair of ankle boots. And when my AP Stats teacher asked why I was in class when I looked like I should be at a museum in NYC I almost shed a tear.

Outfit Details
Cardigan: Gap
Tee: Zara
 Leggings: Charlotte Russe
Ankle Boots: Apri (via TJMaxx)
 Sunglasses: Stradivarius - Madrid

I hope you all had a joy filled Monday and started your week on a good note. Remember: your life is only as good as your mentality.

All the love.
